The origin of the Kilachand Group can be traced back to over a hundred years ago, when Kilachand Devchand strode a confident path to Bombay from a distant village in Gujarat, Patan. Since then, he and his succeeding generations pioneered the formation and rise of the Kilachand Group, one of the largest houses for industry and trade in cotton and oilseeds. With the rising needs of a growing nation, their businesses expanded into Shipping, Aircrafts, Banking, Automobiles, Marketing, Insurance, Thermoplastics, Synthetic Rubber and Textiles in an ever widening sphere of industry.
Established in the year 1933, Kesar Enterprises Limited (KEL) grew as a member of the Kilachand group. Today, KEL comprises of a 7200tcd Sugar Manufactuaring plant, a 40 MW Power Plant and a Distillery
Kesar Terminals & Infrastructure Limited (KTIL) was incorporated on 21st January, 2008 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kesar Enterprises Ltd. (KEL). KTIL has been a pioneer in offering bulk liquid terminalling services for various Importers and Exporters of Chemical Products, Petro-Chemicals, Edible and Non-Edible Oils and Petroleum Products. The Company ceased to be a subsidiary of Kesar Enterprises Limited with effect from 1st June, 2010.
Over the years, KTIL increased tankages at Kandla from a mere 4,000 Kls. in 2 tanks in 1 Terminal to nearly 1,26,783 Kls. in 64 tanks in 2 Terminals, located nearby.
The tanks are stragically located in front of the jetties ensuring a quick and smooth loading and off-loading of bulk liquids at a high pumping rate. Multiple Jetty Lines permit simultaneous discharge of cargo from more than one vessel at any time.
